It's All About the Water

It has been a while since I have been on here. We have been super busy getting ready for the end of the school year and studying for the end of grade testing. This weekend we were supposed to camp in Tennessee. Things didn't work out as planned since Jason wimped out. So Austin and I took off and winged it on our own. No reason to let a wonderful weekend be scratched. We cancelled our campsite reservations and booked a room. First we headed to Splash Country water park and hung out there til they locked the gates. Then back to the hotel for quick showers and off to the Dixie Stampede for dinner and a show. Back to the room to chill. Up for breakfast early so Austin would have time to swim and slide since our hotel had a waterslide. Here are a couple of pictures. I did not get a lot since I was worried about my camera getting wet. And forgot it in the car at the dinner show. Silly me. But all in all we had a blast! And can not wait to kick off our summer. Austin's last day of school is the 10th of June. Everyone else I know is out and enjoying the summer already. Trust me he can not wait.

Exotic Rides

After picking Austin and friends up from golf we headed home to get his homework done before church. Then his dad called and wanted me to take him down to the local grocery store because they were un-loading some exotic cars. Austin was ecstatic. They had a yellow Calloway corvette, a Audi, Toyota, Alfa Romea, Ford GT 500, and a Lamborgini. Awesome rides! The owner was nice enough to let Austin sit in the Ford and the Lamborgini. He was so excited!! Here are a few pictures.

Updates

I wanted to give everyone an update on Landon and Cole. They are both doing quite well. Cole was released last week and is home with his family now. Praise God! He does answer prayers. He is doing well and still has a ways to go. He is working on getting his strength back and also his muscle tone. Also he has a feeding port on his side that is used to give him liquids. Since he is having trouble swallowing those. Here is a picture of him in his walker at home. Austin had fun playing with him and is so happy to be able to see him.

Landon is also doing well. He flew to Duke University to have surgery to repair a hole in his heart. He is still in the hospital in Fayettville. He has to be a certain weight before he can be released. But he is now a little over 4 lbs. So amazing since he was born at 1 lb. 14 oz. Again praise God! he is truly amazing at how he can answer prayer. Please keep these two little boys in your prayers. Here is a picture of Nikki with Landon on her first Mother's Day with her precious new son. Have a blessed day..

Please Pray for Kyndall

I was blog hopping and came across this blog. And wanted to pass the chance for tons of more prayers for this precious little girl. If you have time please read her post from the bottom up. And you can read how this accident happened and about her progress. Prayer is so powerful and we know it works. So please take time to pray for her. Thanks, Erin http://thereedfamilyintexas.blogspot.com/

Sleepover and Slam Ball

After Austin's party Tyler came over to stay the night. The boys entertained themselves til 3:00 AM. Then when they woke up the next morning they were up for building forts and playing Slam Ball. A game they invented. Total fun for them and they seem to have a blast. I'm adding a video of that. Then Sunday they went to the YMCA to practice swimming with a swim team. The coach said Austin was a natural at the butterfly and the dolphin kick. Austin is not sure if he wants to pursue swimming. I know he would be great at it. As he loves swimming and has a passion for water. We'll see. It is all about the little white ball for now. Have a blessed day.

I'm Gonna Miss This-Week 32

I can surely say the moment that comes to mind is the fun birthday parties that we seem to come up with every year. This year we decided for a party at our local park. The boys just had fun playing and riding bikes. We had a little basketball, kickball, rock climbing, bike riding, tag, and a remote control car race. It was a huge hit. And the boys had a blast just hanging out. I will miss these when he grows up and just wants to hang with his friends instead of mom & dad. I know we have to let them grow and explore. But I will sure look back and miss this one day... Sorry the images are so far away. the new thing I learned is you have to sneak up on 11 year old boys due to the fact they are camera shy..

Saturday Night Events

We had the party Saturday morning and all went smooth. Then Saturday evening we took Austin & Tyler to Hooter's for dinner. They had a lot of fun. And I was impressed with the food. Here are a couple of photos. I love the expressions on their faces. Usually they make you stand on a stool while they sing to you. But Austin informed them he was not up for that. Too funny! After dinner we were off to Academy Sports to spend his gift card he had received. They both decided on these high powered sling shots. I am glad to note there is nothing broken yet...
