Golf Clinic

This morning we were up bright and early headed off to the Country Club for the golf clinic. Austin fell right since he takes lessons there once a week. Since he has not played in a couple of weeks he was ready to get out there. He sure does love this sport. Here is a picture of him. He is towards the back of the picture near the golf carts. Sorry he is so small(If you click on the picture it will enlarge for better viewing). He does not like his picture taken so I have to be sneaky. We are headed off to basketball after a quick lunch.Enjoy the day!

It's All About H2O

Austin is in mid air and jumped from the ledge where my frinds daughter is in the white shirt. If you look higher to the left you will see the ledge that Tyler and other people were jumping from. Brave souls!



We went to the pool quite a bit last week. And we were back there on Saturday too. Then off to see Transformers. Awesome movie! Then Sunday we spent the entire day at lake Jocassee with friends. Had a blast hanging out. Austin and his friend Tyler had so much fun catching fish and playing ball. After grilling out on "our" beach we headed of to the wall so the kids could jump off the ledges. Austin jumped from about 10 feet. His friend Tyler jumped from about 30 ft. I'm glad Austin was not brave enough to go higher. It always makes me so nervous. All and all we had a super H2o weekend. Next week Austin has a golf clinic in the mornings and basketball camp in the afternoons. He will only have about an hour to swim in the afternoons. Hope he doesn't dry out. Cheap Weekend Fun

We had a great weekend. Staying busy with cheap entertainment.Friday evening we went to a baseball game to watch Tyler's team play. They won! And then we were back up Saturday morning at another game. This one was the play-offs for the tournament and they won the first and lost the second. So they received 2nd place trophy's. After that we headed home for the comfort of the A/C. It has been super hot here the last few days. After chilling for a little while we were off to a local concert where Austin's friend Kyle's Uncle was playing. The boys had a blast throwing baseball and running around. Sunday was a relaxing day around the house. Except for Austin and his dad taking a motorcycle ride and breaking down. The clutch cable went out and I had to go rescue them. After that Austin spent the rest of the afternoon playing with the neighbors from down the road. All in all we had a fun, cheap weekend. My friend Tabitha sent me a list of things to do in our local area for fun inexpensive entertainment. We'll have to check that out and see what we can come up with.

A Weeks Worth!

No time for photos. But a run down of our week. We have been staying busy enjoying this summer so far the old fashioned way. Trying to spend as little as possible. This past week we have taken in four all star baseball games. Only spending money on gas and a few snacks on the day we forgot to bring our own. Austin is not playing, but we know a lot of kids on the team and it is fun to watch. Also he has been spending a lot of time at the pool. We go almost every day since it is around the corner from our home. That is always fun since we know several families that go daily too. Today we were off to the park for a birthday party for Austin's friend Jacob. They had a blast playing basketball, riding bikes, water guns, sling-shoting water balloons, and riding skateboards. Also we went to a birthday party Monday evening at a local gym. Dodge ball was a huge hit there. All in all we had a super week of fun and spent minimal money doing it. I did stop by the laundry mat to catch up on our growing pile and found this label amusing. Is it really a necessary label. Scary to think someone might actually get in a washer.

Schools Out For Summer!

Today was officially the last day! Thank goodness.. Austin is excited to begin his summer and have a blast. Lots of things planned. He has not been out 10 minutes and already invited to a end of the year party. This is a picture of him after school. Don't ya love the cool shorts. He saved them to wear the last day. Has it Been a Year??

Oh yes it has. I started blogging one year ago today. And I still love it. I enjoy being able to write post about what is happening with our family and Austin and love to be able to share lots of pictures with loads of friends and family. Especially the ones that live to far to see on a regular basis. We have been super busy wrapping up the end of school. Trust me the 10th will not come soon enough. We are so looking forward to summer. Swimming, fishing, biking, camping, friends, video games, ice cream(homemade) and having lots of fun....

Busy-Busy-Busy

We have been super busy all weekend. I am getting slack on posting. I promise to do better in the coming days. We are dealing with the end of school coming on like a freight train. And all the excitement that comes with summer vacation. Tomorrow starts EOG testing. Extremely important and nerve racking. We spent Friday night and all day Saturday watching Austin's friend Tyler play baseball in his teams playoffs. They won and were undefeated all season. Saturday night we headed over to catch some fun at the celebration party. Swimming, hottub, WII, and the game capture the flag. Sunday we met some friends at the movies to see UP! It was so cute! Well we started this week off with a stomach ache... I am waiting to take a Austin to school a little late. Testing starts tomorrow and he should not miss today. Maybe he is nervous about the test.... To be honest i am too. Have a great day!
