Coupon Crazy

Anyone who knows me will know I have a card or coupon for just about everything and everywhere. Austin is getting used to going places for a good deal. The other day he wanted to eat at Ruby Tuesdays. I told him we had to go to Firehouse Subs since kids eat free on Wed. and Sundays.That saved us about $12.00. And that is a lot this day and time. I have been checking out some "savings" blog pages to find some awesome deals. This week I spent out of pocket $108.00 on grocery's. Total savings after store sales and coupons was $118.00. Without the sales and coupons I would of spent $226.00. The deals are there if you plan your purchases around the sales and coupons. I was so shocked, since I was not tracking this as I went. That total is a little high for us for a weeks worth of grocery's, but there were some great deals on meat. The freezer is now stocked again. Food lion has ground chuck for $1.89 lb and boneless skinless chicken breast for $1.99 lb here in North Carolina. So I buy it while the price is low. This will not turn into a "savings" blog. I will probably start a new one. but I wanted to share my good news. As since saving money and getting a deal is what makes it fun. It turns into a challenge.
