Finally the rain has decided to go away. So Austin and I headed out for some fun exploring. We packed up some drinks and picnic food and of course the camera and we were off. First stop was River Falls. Usually this falls has a very slow amount of moving water. Today thanks to the rain it was flowing a good bit. And you know Austin had to ditch the shoes and head right in. The next stop was Caesar's Head State Park. It was really neat with awesome overlooks and we went through Devil's Kitchen. A rock that was split down the middle and you were able to walk through it. After we left I thought I should of asked why it was called that. Austin thought that was super cool. And the hiking trails were fun also. After that we headed up to Brevard and went into the Pisgah National Forest to Looking Glass Falls. One of our favorites. It was rushing like crazy. Of course Austin had to climb out on some of the rocks and I was able to get some super pictures of this falls too. After leaving there we went on up to the Blue Ridge Parkway and stopped to check out some overlooks and went through 10 tunnels and also checked out a campground for a later trip. After that we were getting tired and headed back to the house. But we sure had a blast exploring our surroundings. And can not wait to get back out there to see what other cool places we can check out. I sure will miss days like these when hanging out all day with Mom just is not his first priority. Thanks for checking in.
